30 Day Snap Day 14 | Inspiration in Unusual Places

While the CW's show The Carrie Diaries isn't exactly geared towards the average 20 year old, it still is chalk full of inspiration and feel good moments. It is a reminder that you should always mold your future around what you want to who you want to be. That there will be obstacles around every corner but as long as you are happy and are pursuing your dreams, things will fall into place. Plus that 80s fashion is do die for. xx

30 Day Snap Day 13 | Painting for the Beau

One of my absolute favorite things to do is paint. I am lucky enough to have a supportive family that ( out of pure love not because I have some great talent or anything) is eager to see what I come up with next! Not too long ago I painted something for Golan simply because I love him and like to do little things to show that I appreciate who he is and all that he does for me. I get my inspiration from photography, nature, other prints and paintings I see, etc. This is what I came up with this time! It was a painting of the silhouette of Israel (Golan's birthplace) with his name across the bottom. Simple! I wanted to make him something that reminded him of home. Thankfully, he liked it! I am always nervous to unveil my paintings because I am never sure whether others will like them as much as I do. This time it was a success. Anyone else like to express themselves through artwork? xx

30 Day Snap Day 10 | Let's Try This Again....

** I'm not sure why this didn't post the other day but hey... better late than never**So I know that I had said that I was going to get back on track in this challenge but apparently I lied. So today is attempt number 2! Today's snap is of my wonderful mother in the garden. I cannot tell you the extent to which my mother has influenced me. We are essentially the exact same person. We look the same, we love the same things, we both love and appreciate the beauty around every corner in life, etc. She is my role model and I can only hope to be as wonderful of a mother to my children down the line. (way down the line...this is not a pregnancy announcement, no worries!) I couldn't ask for more. xx

30 Day Snap Day 12 | Happy Music

Today's snap is of a song that has been putting a pep in my step lately. I have never been one to listen to a song on repeat until I'm tired of it but that is exactly what I am doing with "You Say" by George Morgan. I love it. Can't get enough. Keep the good tunes coming, Mr. Morgan! xx

30 Day Snap Day 11 | The Model Alliance

So today's daily snap is of an email I received telling me of the astounding success of The Model Alliance! The Model Alliance is a wonderful organization that makes great effort to improve the  working conditions in the modeling industry. On June 12th the Model Alliance successfully passed a labor law in New York that protects the rights of child models which recognizes models under the age of 18 as child performers. This new law includes provisions for a financial trust, the presence of chaperones and tutors on set and is overseen by the Department of Labor. WAY TO GO MODEL ALLIANCE! This is me sending out a huge thanks... keep up the good work! xx

30 Day Snap Day 9 | Getting Back on Track

With all of the hustle and bustle of the last few days I have skimped on my 30 day snap challenge. Today is the day I pick it back up. I've mentioned him before and will probably mention him a million times over. Today's snap is dedicated to my loving boyfriend. He is my rock and keeps me motivated when I falter. He knows just the right thing to say and makes my heart flutter while bringing a smile to my face. Golan you are wonderful. Don't you ever change. xx

30 Day Snap Day 8 | Fire

Please keep all of those affected by the fires in Colorado in your thoughts. Xx

30 Day Snap Day 7 | A Bracing Time

Today is a tense and emotional day. I am currently in a pre evacuation zone for the Black Forest fire, sitting on my couch watching the news and desperately trying to think of something else I should pack into my car. I'm sure if you are reading this you are wondering why the hell I am writing a blog post during a time like this and my only answer is that I needed a distraction during this waiting game. To look into my car almost brings tears to my eyes because all I can think of is "what if I'm missing something? An irreplaceable memory?". With my eyes and throat burning I only ask that you keep those in this area in your thoughts
, prayers, vibes... Whatever you can give. Stay safe everyone. Xx

30 Day Snap Day 6 | Tony's Recap

While I may not be an active participant in the theatre world anymore, it will always hold a special place in my heart! Last night I watched the Tony Awards and it reminded me of why I love that world so much. Everyone is so alive and full of life! The Zac Posen style moment with Patina Miller was by far my favorite part. Although....Finding out Rory was in the
musical theatre realm was a close second. Xx

30 Day Snap Day 5 | Let the Creativity Flow

This morning was a simple morning. Golan and I went to see his cousins - here on out referred to as "the kids" - and instead of spending the day sitting on the couch or in front of the computer screen, we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather. We ended up taking out some pencils and markers and each of us drew something. My favorite of the day was the drawing of the aspens that my wonderfully talented boyfriend made me. It will be framed and put on my wall ASAP. Time to move your tush off the couch and get outdoors! xx

30 Day Snap Day 4 | So Worth It

Today's daily snap is of a little bundle of joy. Today Golan and I had to go to PetSmart to drop off our cat with the vet. We then decided to go play with all of the cats up for adoption! Now I am slightly allergic to some cats (for some reason a new cat with new dander= insane allergy irritation). However today I was able to withstand long enough to play with almost every single cat. It was such a wonderful start to the day! I couldn't have asked for a happier bunch of friends. Despite their situation of being in kennels all day they were all still so jolly and ready to play. I would have loved to take them all home with me. This might be my new favorite past time. Golan better watch out or sooner or later we will become little old cat ladies (...and cat man?). Moral of the stories kiddos - there are plenty of loveable and eager little ones just waiting to be taken to a good home. Adopt when possible xx

30 Day Snap Day 3 | Rainy Days

One of my favorite parts of summer in Colorado are the daily rain storms. It's like a cleanse every afternoon for your soul. It's so nice to just curl up on the couch or out on the porch with a cup of english breakfast tea, listening to the pitter patter. I can't get enough of it. It's the perfect time to take a moment for yourself and reboot, I wish that every day throughout the year came with a rain storm, my own little daily cleanse. "The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow xx

30 Day Snap Day 2 | Salmon Success

After an insane day at work today, all I wanted to do was make a lovely little dinner for my mom  and myself. So that is exactly what I did. I was determined to make a clean, healthy meal for minimal effort and I think I was pretty successful! Today's snap is of my dinner: a kale and spinach salad with a bit of quinoa, cucumber, carrots, mushrooms, goat cheese, and last but not least salmon :) All in all a success, I'd say! Bon Appetite xx

30 Day Snap | Day 1

Today started out as a perfect opportunity to organize and clean up my life in general. However it quickly ended up as a relaxation/detox sort of day. I spent my afternoon watching Kell on Earth, drinking green tea, and doing yoga. It was quite lovely. Now it's time to get down to brass tacks and get some work done! xx

30 Day Snap | Sprinkle of Glitter

OKAY. So I have been inspired by a blogger I follow called Sprinkle of Glitter ( who is so lovely and is such an blast to read) to take part in her 30 Day Snap Challenge. Basically what you do is you find a moment in your day to document and post about every day for 30 days. It really forces you to focus on all of the simple, ordinary, and lovely moments in life. I for one am up for the challenge! I think this should be fun. While my snaps won't be as savvy as most participants (due to the fact that they will all be on my iPhone) I am going to give it the ol' college try. Let's see what comes of it! xx
